Account Deletion and Data Deletion Policy
This Account Deletion and Data Deletion Policy (the "Policy") explains how users may request deletion of their Mass In Motion account and associated data, what data may be deleted, what data may be retained, and how deletion requests are processed.
Mass In Motion is owned and operated by Mass In Motion LLC ("Mass In Motion," "Company," "we," "us," or "our").
This Policy applies to your access to and use of Mass In Motion, including the Mass In Motion mobile application, website, services, training programs, workout recommendations, recovery tools, readiness estimates, fitness content, and related features (collectively, the "App").
This Policy supplements and is incorporated into the Mass In Motion Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Medical, Health, and Fitness Disclaimer, Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, Waiver, and Indemnity Agreement, End User License Agreement, Subscription, Billing, Cancellation, and Refund Policy, and any other applicable policies.
1. Overview
You may request deletion of your Mass In Motion account and eligible personal data associated with your account.
Account deletion is intended to remove or disable your account and delete, de-identify, anonymize, or otherwise dissociate eligible account-related data, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, backup, dispute-resolution, platform, and operational retention needs.
Deleting your account is not the same as canceling a paid subscription. If your subscription is managed by Apple, Google, or another third-party billing provider, you must separately cancel the subscription through the platform where you purchased it.
2. How to Request Account Deletion
You may request account deletion through one or more of the following methods, depending on the features available in the App at the time of your request.
In-App Deletion
If available, you may request account deletion through the App by going to:
Settings → Account → Delete Account
The exact menu names may vary as the App is updated.
Email Request
You may also request account deletion by contacting:
Mass In Motion LLC
Email: massinmotionapp@gmail.com
When contacting us by email, include enough information for us to locate and verify your account, such as:
- The email address associated with your Mass In Motion account;
- Your name, if provided in the App;
- The platform you use, such as iOS, Android, or web;
- A clear statement that you are requesting account deletion; and
- Any other information reasonably needed to verify ownership of the account.
Do not send sensitive health details, payment card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information by email unless specifically requested through a secure process.
3. Identity and Account Verification
Before processing a deletion request, Mass In Motion may take reasonable steps to verify that the request came from the account owner or an authorized person.
Verification may include:
- Confirming access to the account email address;
- Requiring you to sign in before submitting the request;
- Sending a confirmation email;
- Requesting limited account-identifying information;
- Checking recent account activity; or
- Using another reasonable verification method.
If we cannot verify that you are authorized to delete the account, we may deny, delay, or request additional information before processing the request.
4. Confirmation Before Deletion
Mass In Motion may ask you to confirm your deletion request before deletion is finalized.
Account deletion may be permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, you may lose access to:
- Your account;
- Your profile;
- Your training plans;
- Your workout history;
- Your run history;
- Your strength training logs;
- Your recovery and readiness history;
- Your goals and preferences;
- Your progress photos or uploaded media;
- Your app settings;
- Your saved integrations;
- Your cloud-synced data;
- Your support history tied to the account; and
- Any other account-specific App content.
Mass In Motion may not be able to restore deleted data.
5. Data Eligible for Deletion
Subject to the limitations and retention rights described in this Policy, account deletion may include deletion, de-identification, anonymization, or dissociation of eligible account-related data, such as:
- Account profile information;
- Email address and login identifiers;
- Authentication records controlled by Mass In Motion;
- Fitness goals;
- Training preferences;
- Program settings;
- Strength training logs;
- Running logs;
- Endurance activity logs;
- Workout completion data;
- Exercise history;
- Recovery and readiness inputs;
- Recovery and readiness outputs;
- Training-load data;
- Injury-related user inputs, if any;
- Notes entered into the App;
- App settings and preferences;
- Device or wearable data imported into the App;
- Progress photos or uploaded media stored by Mass In Motion;
- Push notification tokens;
- Support messages tied to your account, where deletion is legally and operationally permitted; and
- Other personal data associated with your account that is eligible for deletion.
Some data may be deleted directly. Other data may be de-identified, anonymized, aggregated, or dissociated from your account where permitted by law.
6. Data That May Be Retained
Mass In Motion may retain certain information after account deletion where permitted or required by law, contract, platform rules, security needs, or legitimate business purposes.
Data that may be retained may include:
- Transaction records;
- Subscription and billing records;
- App-store purchase records;
- Tax, accounting, and financial records;
- Refund records;
- Chargeback and payment-dispute records;
- Fraud-prevention records;
- Security logs;
- Abuse-prevention records;
- Legal notices and legal correspondence;
- Records needed to enforce agreements;
- Records related to disputes, claims, investigations, or compliance obligations;
- Records needed to detect or prevent unauthorized access, scraping, reverse engineering, payment abuse, or policy violations;
- Customer-support records where retention is needed to resolve issues or comply with obligations;
- Aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data that no longer reasonably identifies you;
- Data stored in backups for a limited period; and
- Any other data Mass In Motion is permitted or required to retain under applicable law.
Retained data will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
7. Backup Copies
Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups, disaster-recovery systems, logs, or archival systems for a limited period before being overwritten or deleted according to Mass In Motion's normal backup and retention practices.
During this period, backup data is not intended to be restored to active systems except where necessary for disaster recovery, security, legal compliance, or other legitimate operational reasons.
If backup data is restored, Mass In Motion will take reasonable steps to re-apply eligible deletion requests when reasonably practicable.
8. Local Device Data
The App may store some information locally on your device, including cached app data, settings, offline information, or temporary files.
Account deletion from Mass In Motion systems may not automatically remove all locally stored information from your device.
To remove local device data, you may need to:
- Sign out of the App;
- Clear the App's local data, if your device allows it;
- Delete the App from your device;
- Reinstall the App only after deletion is complete, if desired; or
- Use your device's operating-system settings to remove local app data.
Mass In Motion does not control all device-level storage, operating-system backups, screenshots, downloads, exported files, or data stored outside the App.
9. Third-Party Services and Integrations
The App may connect with third-party services, such as app stores, payment processors, subscription-management providers, wearable providers, cloud services, analytics providers, authentication providers, or fitness platforms.
Deleting your Mass In Motion account does not automatically delete data held independently by third parties.
You may need to separately contact or use the privacy tools of third-party services to delete or manage data they control.
Third-party services may include, depending on App configuration and user choices:
- Apple;
- Google;
- Firebase or Google Cloud services;
- RevenueCat or another subscription-management provider;
- Stripe or another payment processor;
- Wearable-device providers;
- Fitness-platform providers;
- Analytics providers;
- Crash-reporting providers;
- Email or support providers; and
- Other authorized vendors or service providers.
Mass In Motion may request deletion from certain service providers where appropriate and where Mass In Motion controls or directs the processing of the data. However, third parties may retain information under their own terms, policies, legal obligations, or operational requirements.
10. Wearable and Health/Fitness Integrations
If you connect a wearable device, fitness platform, health platform, or third-party data source to Mass In Motion, account deletion may remove eligible copies of imported data from Mass In Motion systems, subject to this Policy.
Account deletion does not necessarily:
- Delete the original data from the wearable provider;
- Delete the original data from a health platform;
- Revoke all third-party permissions automatically;
- Delete data held in another app;
- Delete data from your device operating system; or
- Delete data already exported, downloaded, or backed up outside Mass In Motion.
You should separately review and manage permissions in your wearable account, fitness-platform account, health-platform account, device settings, Apple Health settings, Google settings, or other third-party settings.
11. Subscription Cancellation Is Separate
Account deletion does not automatically cancel a paid subscription managed by Apple, Google, or another third-party billing platform.
If you purchased a subscription through Apple, Google, or another third-party billing provider, you must cancel the subscription through that provider's subscription settings.
If you delete your account without canceling your subscription, billing may continue unless canceled through the applicable platform.
Mass In Motion is not responsible for charges that continue because you failed to cancel a subscription through the platform where you purchased it, except where applicable law or platform rules require otherwise.
12. Processing Time
Mass In Motion will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.
Deletion from active systems will generally be completed within 30 days after verification unless a longer period is permitted or required by law, operational needs, security needs, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or technical constraints.
Some retained records and backup copies may persist for longer as described in this Policy.
13. Effect on App Access
Once account deletion is processed, you may lose access to the App or account-based features.
You may need to create a new account if you want to use Mass In Motion again after deletion.
A new account may not restore deleted information, prior subscriptions, historical data, training plans, workout history, recovery history, app settings, or promotional eligibility.
14. Data Export Before Deletion
If the App offers data export tools, you should export any information you want to keep before deleting your account.
Mass In Motion may not be able to provide deleted data after deletion is complete.
If you want a copy of certain account data before deletion, contact:
Mass In Motion LLC
Email: massinmotionapp@gmail.com
Mass In Motion may require verification before providing account data and may limit exports where necessary to protect security, privacy, intellectual property, trade secrets, other users, or legal obligations.
15. Pending Transactions, Disputes, and Investigations
Mass In Motion may delay or limit deletion where necessary to complete, investigate, or resolve:
- Active subscriptions;
- Pending payments;
- Refund requests;
- Chargebacks;
- Fraud reviews;
- Security incidents;
- Abuse reports;
- Legal disputes;
- Regulatory obligations;
- Support issues;
- Terms-of-service violations; or
- Other legitimate business, legal, or security matters.
When possible, Mass In Motion will delete or de-identify eligible data that is not needed for the pending matter.
16. Aggregated, Anonymized, or De-Identified Data
Mass In Motion may retain and use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data that does not reasonably identify you.
This may include data used for:
- App analytics;
- Security monitoring;
- Product improvement;
- Performance measurement;
- Usage trends;
- Algorithm testing and validation;
- Research and development;
- Business reporting;
- Debugging; and
- Other lawful purposes.
Mass In Motion will not attempt to re-identify anonymized data except as permitted by law.
17. Deleting a Minor's Account
If a parent or legal guardian believes a minor has created an account or submitted personal data through the App, the parent or guardian may contact Mass In Motion at:
Email: massinmotionapp@gmail.com
Mass In Motion may request information reasonably necessary to verify parental or guardian authority and locate the relevant account.
18. Denial of Deletion Requests
Mass In Motion may deny or limit a deletion request where permitted by law, including when:
- We cannot verify your identity or authority;
- The request is fraudulent, abusive, or excessive;
- Retention is required by law;
- Retention is necessary for security or fraud prevention;
- Retention is necessary to complete a transaction or provide a requested service;
- Retention is necessary to resolve a dispute or enforce an agreement;
- Retention is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Mass In Motion, users, or third parties;
- Deletion would impair another user's rights or data;
- The data has been aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified; or
- Another legal exception applies.
If we deny or limit your request, we may explain the reason where required by law and where doing so does not compromise security, privacy, legal obligations, or fraud-prevention efforts.
19. Changes to This Policy
Mass In Motion may update this Policy from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the App, by email, through our website, or by other reasonable means.
Your continued use of the App after an updated Policy becomes effective means you accept the updated Policy.
