Community Guidelines and User Content Policy

This Community Guidelines and User Content Policy (the "Policy") explains the rules that apply when users submit, upload, create, store, share, publish, transmit, display, or otherwise provide content through Mass In Motion.

Mass In Motion is owned and operated by Mass In Motion LLC ("Mass In Motion," "Company," "we," "us," or "our").

This Policy applies to your access to and use of Mass In Motion, including the Mass In Motion mobile application, website, services, training programs, workout recommendations, recovery tools, readiness estimates, fitness content, community features, messaging features, profile features, upload features, and related features (collectively, the "App").

This Policy supplements and is incorporated into the Mass In Motion Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Medical, Health, and Fitness Disclaimer, Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, Waiver, and Indemnity Agreement, End User License Agreement, Account Deletion and Data Deletion Policy, Data Processing and Vendor Disclosure Policy, Cookie Policy, Subscription, Billing, Cancellation, and Refund Policy, and any other applicable policies.

1. Purpose of This Policy

Mass In Motion may allow users to create, enter, upload, store, submit, sync, display, or share content.

This may include, now or in the future:

  • Account profile information;
  • Display names;
  • Profile photos;
  • Workout logs;
  • Running logs;
  • Strength training logs;
  • Hybrid training logs;
  • Exercise notes;
  • Training notes;
  • Progress notes;
  • Progress photos;
  • Body measurements;
  • Fitness goals;
  • Injury-related inputs;
  • Recovery or readiness notes;
  • Comments;
  • Posts;
  • Direct messages;
  • Group messages;
  • Shared workouts;
  • Shared programs;
  • Community discussions;
  • Challenge participation;
  • Ratings, reactions, or likes;
  • Support messages;
  • Images, videos, screenshots, files, or attachments; and
  • Other information or materials submitted through the App.

This Policy is intended to keep Mass In Motion safe, lawful, respectful, and useful for training, fitness, wellness, and performance-support purposes.

2. User Content

For purposes of this Policy, "User Content" means any content, data, text, images, photos, videos, files, messages, comments, notes, logs, feedback, profile information, workout information, health-related information, fitness information, or other material that you submit, upload, create, store, share, publish, transmit, display, or otherwise provide through the App.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and for the consequences of submitting, uploading, storing, sharing, or publishing it.

You should not submit User Content unless you have the right to do so and are comfortable with how it may be used under the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and this Policy.

3. Respectful Conduct

You agree to use the App respectfully and lawfully.

You may not use the App to harass, threaten, intimidate, abuse, exploit, shame, defame, impersonate, or target another person.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment;
  • Bullying;
  • Threats;
  • Hate speech;
  • Sexual harassment;
  • Stalking;
  • Doxxing;
  • Encouraging self-harm;
  • Encouraging violence;
  • Impersonation;
  • Targeted abuse;
  • Repeated unwanted contact;
  • Posting private information about others;
  • Shaming users based on body size, strength, running pace, disability, age, sex, gender, race, religion, nationality, health condition, injury, or fitness level;
  • Mocking or attacking users for training choices, body composition, appearance, medical status, or performance level; and
  • Any conduct that Mass In Motion determines may make the App unsafe, abusive, or harmful.

4. No Medical Advice From Users

Mass In Motion is not a medical service, and users may not use the App to provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation protocols, medication instructions, emergency guidance, or professional healthcare services to other users.

You may not post or send User Content that:

  • Claims to diagnose a medical condition;
  • Tells another user to ignore professional medical advice;
  • Tells another user to stop taking medication;
  • Provides medical treatment instructions;
  • Provides injury rehabilitation instructions as a substitute for licensed care;
  • Gives insulin, medication, supplement, or dosage instructions;
  • Encourages training through serious symptoms;
  • Claims to cure, treat, or prevent disease;
  • Provides emergency medical guidance instead of telling users to contact emergency services;
  • Misrepresents your qualifications; or
  • Creates a risk of physical harm.

Users may share general personal experiences, but personal experience is not medical advice. If a user may be injured, ill, in pain, or experiencing concerning symptoms, they should seek help from a qualified healthcare professional.

5. Dangerous Fitness, Nutrition, and Health Content

You may not use the App to encourage unsafe, reckless, extreme, or harmful conduct.

Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to:

  • Dangerous fitness challenges;
  • Extreme dehydration practices;
  • Unsafe weight-cutting practices;
  • Starvation, purging, or eating-disorder encouragement;
  • Training through serious injury symptoms;
  • Unsafe lifting attempts without appropriate precautions;
  • Encouraging users to ignore chest pain, fainting, severe shortness of breath, severe pain, or other emergency symptoms;
  • Promoting illegal performance-enhancing drug use;
  • Providing instructions for misuse of prescription drugs;
  • Promoting supplement abuse;
  • Encouraging self-harm;
  • Encouraging violence;
  • Encouraging dangerous road, trail, or outdoor behavior;
  • Encouraging users to exercise while impaired; or
  • Any other content that Mass In Motion determines may create a serious risk of harm.

6. No Illegal, Fraudulent, or Abusive Use

You may not use the App to engage in unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, deceptive, or harmful activity.

Prohibited activity includes, but is not limited to:

  • Fraud;
  • Scams;
  • Phishing;
  • Payment manipulation;
  • Refund abuse;
  • Chargeback abuse;
  • Account sharing in violation of applicable terms;
  • Unauthorized account access;
  • Selling or transferring accounts;
  • Circumventing paywalls or subscription controls;
  • Misrepresenting identity;
  • Misrepresenting fitness credentials, medical credentials, coaching credentials, or affiliation with Mass In Motion;
  • Interfering with App security;
  • Using bots, scripts, scraping tools, or unauthorized automation;
  • Uploading malware or malicious files;
  • Collecting information from other users without permission;
  • Violating app-store rules;
  • Violating third-party rights; or
  • Violating any applicable law or regulation.

7. Intellectual Property and Ownership of Uploaded Content

You may only upload or share User Content that you own or have permission to use.

You may not upload, share, publish, or transmit content that infringes, misappropriates, or violates another person's or entity's rights, including:

  • Copyrights;
  • Trademarks;
  • Trade secrets;
  • Privacy rights;
  • Publicity rights;
  • Contract rights;
  • Confidentiality obligations;
  • Image rights;
  • Music rights;
  • Video rights;
  • Software rights;
  • Database rights; or
  • Other intellectual property or proprietary rights.

Examples of prohibited content may include:

  • Exercise videos copied from another app or creator without permission;
  • Screenshots of paid content that you do not have permission to redistribute;
  • Copyrighted training plans copied from another coach, app, book, or program;
  • Music, images, logos, or videos you do not have the right to upload;
  • Another person's photo or video without permission;
  • Content that falsely implies endorsement by Mass In Motion or another brand; or
  • Content that violates a license or contract.

8. User Content License to Mass In Motion

As between you and Mass In Motion, you retain any ownership rights you have in your User Content.

By submitting, uploading, storing, sharing, publishing, or otherwise providing User Content through the App, you grant Mass In Motion a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, transmit, format, modify, analyze, and otherwise use your User Content as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App;
  • Display your content where you choose to share or publish it;
  • Generate training, recovery, readiness, and fitness recommendations;
  • Personalize your App experience;
  • Sync data across devices;
  • Provide customer support;
  • Moderate content;
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
  • Enforce our agreements;
  • Comply with legal obligations;
  • Protect the rights, safety, and security of Mass In Motion, users, and third parties; and
  • Perform other actions described in the Privacy Policy.

This license continues for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain backups, and protect safety and security.

9. Public and Shared Content

If Mass In Motion offers public profiles, shared workouts, community posts, comments, groups, messaging, leaderboards, challenges, or similar features, you are responsible for what you choose to share.

Public or shared User Content may be visible to other users or third parties depending on the feature and your settings.

You should not share information that you want to keep private, including:

  • Home address;
  • Phone number;
  • Private email address;
  • Government identification information;
  • Financial information;
  • Full medical records;
  • Highly sensitive health information;
  • Location information that reveals your home, workplace, school, gym, or routine;
  • Photos that reveal private surroundings or other people without permission;
  • Information about minors; or
  • Anything that could compromise your safety or privacy.

Mass In Motion is not responsible for how other users may use, copy, screenshot, save, or share content that you make public or share with them.

10. Progress Photos, Body Images, and Sensitive Media

Mass In Motion may allow users to upload progress photos, profile photos, body-composition images, form-check images, or other fitness-related media.

You may not upload or share:

  • Nude or sexually explicit content;
  • Sexual content involving minors;
  • Exploitative content;
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery;
  • Images of another person without permission;
  • Content intended to shame, humiliate, harass, or sexualize another person;
  • Graphic injury or medical images for shock value;
  • Content that promotes eating disorders, self-harm, or body shaming; or
  • Content that violates any law, platform rule, or Mass In Motion policy.

Fitness progress photos should be appropriate, lawful, and submitted only by the person depicted or with proper authorization.

11. Minors and User Content

The App is intended for users who are at least 18 years old unless otherwise permitted by the Terms of Service.

You may not upload, post, share, or distribute content involving minors in a way that is exploitative, unsafe, sexual, harassing, invasive, or unlawful.

If a parent or legal guardian believes that a minor's personal information or content has been submitted without appropriate consent, they may contact:

Mass In Motion may take reasonable steps to verify the request and remove eligible content as required or permitted by law.

12. Privacy of Others

You may not upload or share another person's personal information without permission.

Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to:

  • Another person's address;
  • Phone number;
  • Email address;
  • Government identification number;
  • Medical information;
  • Financial information;
  • Private messages;
  • Private photos;
  • Exact location or routine;
  • Login credentials;
  • Employment information not publicly available;
  • Information about minors; or
  • Any other information that could reasonably violate another person's privacy or safety.

13. No Spam, Solicitation, or Unauthorized Commercial Use

You may not use the App for spam, unauthorized advertising, mass messaging, or commercial solicitation.

Prohibited activity includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sending unsolicited promotional messages;
  • Promoting unrelated products or services;
  • Selling coaching services without permission;
  • Recruiting users for competing services;
  • Posting referral spam;
  • Running unauthorized contests or giveaways;
  • Using the App for multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, or deceptive offers;
  • Scraping users for marketing purposes;
  • Directing users to unsafe, deceptive, or malicious websites;
  • Posting affiliate links without permission; or
  • Using the App primarily to advertise, sell, or solicit.

14. Authenticity and Misrepresentation

You may not misrepresent yourself, your credentials, your affiliation, or your results.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Impersonating another person;
  • Pretending to represent Mass In Motion;
  • Falsely claiming to be a doctor, physical therapist, registered dietitian, certified coach, trainer, or other professional;
  • Fabricating credentials;
  • Falsifying transformation photos or performance results in a deceptive way;
  • Misleading users about training outcomes;
  • Creating fake accounts to manipulate engagement;
  • Creating fake reviews, likes, comments, or endorsements; or
  • Misrepresenting affiliation with a brand, team, organization, or professional.

15. Content Moderation

Mass In Motion may review, moderate, restrict, remove, hide, disable, label, or refuse to display User Content at any time, with or without notice, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Mass In Motion may take action if User Content appears to:

  • Violate this Policy;
  • Violate the Terms of Service;
  • Violate applicable law;
  • Violate app-store rules;
  • Violate third-party rights;
  • Create safety risks;
  • Create legal risk;
  • Create security risk;
  • Interfere with the App;
  • Harm users;
  • Harm Mass In Motion; or
  • Otherwise be inappropriate for the App.

Mass In Motion is not obligated to monitor all User Content and does not guarantee that all harmful, inaccurate, offensive, or prohibited content will be detected or removed.

16. Enforcement Actions

If Mass In Motion believes you have violated this Policy, we may take one or more actions, including:

  • Warning you;
  • Removing content;
  • Restricting content visibility;
  • Disabling sharing features;
  • Limiting account features;
  • Suspending your account;
  • Terminating your account;
  • Revoking access to paid or free features;
  • Reporting activity to app stores, service providers, law enforcement, or other appropriate parties;
  • Preserving information for legal, security, or safety purposes;
  • Refusing refunds where permitted by law and applicable policies; and
  • Taking other action permitted by law, the Terms of Service, or this Policy.

Mass In Motion may consider context, severity, user history, safety risk, legal obligations, repeat violations, and other relevant factors when deciding whether and how to enforce this Policy.

17. Reporting Violations

If you believe User Content or user conduct violates this Policy, you may report it through any reporting feature made available in the App.

If no in-app reporting feature is available, you may contact:

When reporting a violation, include enough information for Mass In Motion to review the issue, such as:

  • Your account email, if relevant;
  • The username or account involved, if known;
  • A description of the issue;
  • Screenshots, links, or timestamps, if available;
  • Why you believe the content violates this Policy; and
  • Whether there is an immediate safety concern.

Do not misuse reporting tools or submit false reports.

18. Emergency and Immediate Harm

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, experiencing a medical emergency, threatening violence, threatening self-harm, or facing another urgent safety issue, contact emergency services immediately.

Mass In Motion is not an emergency service, crisis service, medical provider, law enforcement agency, or real-time monitoring service.

Reports submitted to Mass In Motion may not be reviewed immediately.

19. Copyright Complaints

If you believe User Content infringes your copyright, you may contact Mass In Motion at:

Mass In Motion may provide a separate DMCA or Copyright Policy that explains how to submit formal copyright takedown notices and counter-notices.

Mass In Motion may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

20. Appeals

Mass In Motion may provide an appeal process for certain moderation or enforcement decisions.

Mass In Motion is not required to restore content, reverse enforcement actions, or provide detailed explanations unless required by law.

21. User Responsibility for Backup Copies

You are responsible for keeping backup copies of User Content that you want to preserve.

Mass In Motion does not guarantee that User Content will always be available, recoverable, or retained.

User Content may be lost, deleted, corrupted, removed, or made unavailable due to account deletion, moderation, technical issues, service changes, storage limits, policy violations, or other circumstances.

22. Changes to This Policy

Mass In Motion may update this Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the App, by email, on our website, or by another reasonable method.

Your continued use of the App after the updated Policy becomes effective means you accept the updated Policy, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If you do not agree to the updated Policy, you must stop using the App.

Important Legal Notice

This Policy is intended to provide a strong foundation for community rules, user-content restrictions, moderation, safety, and upload-related protections. However, user-generated content, content moderation, copyright, privacy, child-safety, app-store, health-content, and consumer-protection requirements may vary by jurisdiction, platform, feature, and business practice.

Mass In Motion LLC should have this Policy reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on it in production.
